My 2006 KJ GAS model is begging for a lift. The Backbone and winch are sagging the front end. I'm kind of stuck. I have the new lower moog ball joints. I'm getting the JBA upper control arm. But I can't decide if I want to order the Frankenlift or go with the standard OME HD kit. What is the ride difference between them. I'm I going to really want the extra .5" from the Frankenlift? Is it worth the extra $400 for the Frankenlift?? Even though it cost more the strut are assembled so I don't have to mess with that. (That is almost worth the $400) HELP! I need to make a decision and order something by Monday!

Quick bring on the LOST LIFT DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO Emergency Squad
we have to help this man quick! :ROTFL:

Its kind of a personal choice really
Frankenlift you just unbolt the old and slam the new in and done, front will be done in an hour
rear is the same either way so that doesn't make any difference
As far as ride the Frankenlift will be somewhat more firmer riding just due to having the spacers compressing the springs somewhat more, also may have more strange noises at first till it gets broke in.
Doesn't cost that much to have someone compress the springs, my local shop does them while we do the rear bumpstops and coils so not any real lost time.
Frankenlifts are somewhat harder to install so you'll need some good rachet straps to pull them in

Just all depends though on what you think its worth to you
either way you can get almost the same amount of lift so that doesn't matter
ease of installation is what it boils down to

Thanks Guys,

I think I will just go with the OME Kit. I'm not really interested in lifting it really high. I'm going to throw a set of 245/75R16 Duratracs on the stock wheel and see how it sits with the OME lift kit. If I need a bit more I'll throw in a spacer on the top of the strut mount.

Good choice
I would do a 3/8 inch clevis and should be good when it settles in
Good choice on tires as well, they do a great job
