When someone says
data, here is an example of what they are looking for (so you know in the future):
From
your 2005 Liberty owners manual:

MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE (Page)315
Engine Oil Selection (Diesel Engines)
For best performance and maximum protection for all
engines under all types of operating conditions, the
manufacturer recommends using synthetic engine oils
that are API Certified (
SL/CF), and meet the requirements
of DaimlerChrysler Material Standard MS-10725.
Engine Oil Viscosity (2.8L Diesel Engines)
Use SAE 0W-40 Mobil 1 Synthetic Engine Oil that
meets API categories CF or better and the requirements
of DaimlerChrysler Material Standard MS-10725. If you
cannot find SAE 0W-40, then SAE 5W-40 Mobil 1
Synthetic Engine Oil is acceptable. Any engine oil that
does not meet the manufacturer’s requirements should
not be used.

Specifications and Approvals
Mobil 1 0W-40 meets or exceeds the requirements of:
API SM/SL/SJ/CF
ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4
http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lubes/ ... 0W-40.aspxNow that wasn't too hard was it? 2 minutes of Google and 4 minutes of cut and paste. That's what we call "data".
Now please go trolling on another forum (maybe a "Mobile 1" forum).......

Why buy Mobil1 0-40 for $8 bucks per quart, and it's not even diesel engine rated....when for $19.50 you can buy a gallon of Rotella T6 that IS diesel engine rated and will make the $7,000 engine in your rig happy?
That's just stupid to use an oil that's for gas engines. If you're going to do that, you might as well get a Fram filter to go with it.
