I jus bought a set of General Grabber Red Letters. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I got 35x12.5R15's for my SFA project. Anyone here have any experience with them or know anyone with them?

All I've heard is that they are HEAVY. It's like driving around with blocks of lead and titanium in your tires.

35x12.50x15 Kevlar MT/R's = 67lbs
35x12.50x15 BFG KM2 = 65lbs
35x12.50x15 Grabber red letters = 72lbs
35x13.50x15 Toyo MT = 87lbs

About average tire weight for the size.

Well that's not what I heard. What I heard was that they were so heavy that General purposefully altered the tire to try and shave some weight off so that they'd be remotely practical for public use. So the ones you can buy are NOT just like the ones they run in Baja.

87.8Lbs Each mounted on 15x10 Steelies..... Very Heavy tires. Super thick sidewalls... First impression was they look a little narrow on the tread face but on the other hand seem soft and flexible enough to really take a bite outta what ever they come into contact with...... Time to start cutting her up so I can try'em out.

My Toyo's came in at 116lbs each on 15x10 steel rims, now only 96lbs each on 15x10 alloy rims.I personally would mount your tires on a 8" wide rim, then you can air down father without worry.

Yeah... I was going to run BFG Krawlers 35x13.5-15. I ordered a ballistic Fab weld on Beadlock kit for the 15x10's I'll do that after the SFA shakedown. and then get some tall skinny 16's to drive on the street. Anyone have a recomendation on a good tall skinny tire?

Another point on the Grabbers is they are Taller than a 35. With the weight of my Friends V8 Grand on them they measure almost 37" tall.
