sweet i was thinking i can put one together for just around $550 using
rusty's 2" front coil springs $129
skyjacker 2.5" rears $132
bilstein shocks from jba up front $192
and BDS shocks in the rear $90

Do you know what else i would need? The rustys springs are only 2" so what do i need for the extra .5"?
Thanks

EDIT: i was looking at the kj skyjackers the rear for the KK are $196

Do the strut plate and maybe add some conduit nuts for a lil bit of a clevis lift

Had a guy with a KK stop and ask if I could lift his. Looking for affordable ideas to do his.
Found your post interesting but why use Rustys springs
I mean they are rated very low at 310 LB ( same as stock) where as OMEs are 400 for the 927s
Just wondering, the one customer I had who insisted on a Rustys lift ( on a KJ) his sagged over 2 inches in two years time.
So just wondering, this guy is paying cash so $$$$

Where did you get the extra rear isolators from?

I have already purchased the RK lift and that will be going on for now, but I am thinking about piecing this setup together for when I need to change the struts and shocks later on.

Thanks.

Going to start my piecing my stuff together soon.

I just did all my research and have everything picked out. I think I am going with OME diesel coil springs for the front, with blisten strut, JBA rear 2.5" spring with BDS shocks possibly blisten depending on if I can find an awesome deal on them.

After talking to someone at JBA they said the diesel front springs on a regular KJ would give you quite a bit of lift being the weight from diesel to gas is different.

I guess i could go with OME coils front and rear but they only say 1.5". Also do you think the diesel hd coils will ride too stiff on a gas kk

From what everyone on here says you can't use KJ rear coils on the KK but the fronts will work. Read around alot of guys get 2.3" of lift out of OME if someone could chime in and correct me or comment I would also like to know lol. Heavy duties will just support the extra weight of the KK over the KJ

You get more than 1.5 inches out of OME 927s
trust me installed enough of them

Kennedy
You must not of talked to Marlin at JBA due to the fact that the 790s will be way to rough without a bumper and winch, you're going from a 310 lb springs to what some are using the OME 927s which are rated at 400 to the 790s which are 500, way too much

on the JBA website under the KK section it shows front and rear OME's so im assuming that would be the way to go right

OK so IF JBA got KK/KA Rear OME Coils, tell me if this make sense.

OME Front Coils 158.70 http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_Spring_f ... t-615.aspx

OME Rear Coils 158.70 http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_Spring_for_Rear-765.aspx

OME Front Shocks 303.10 http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_Front_Strut-620.aspx

OME Rear Shocks 175.32 http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_Rear_Long_Shock-622.aspx

Rustys Spacer for .5" 29.00 http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.m ... sus_kj_kit

Now for a total of 824.82 before shipping it looks like it MAY be possible to get an OME all around lift kit for the KK. Now if this is possible, if the only extra weight your going to have is going to be rock rails and a roof rack should you get the Front NS131/OME927 and the Rear OME730/N132L or should the rear be HD and go with OME731/N132L?

I did talk to Marlin and he said it would lift a KJ significantly so obviously why wouldn't I go for the 790's being that we KK users have to compensate for weight..... Also I am trying to gain 2.5" lift

Maybe thats why Marlin sends a lot of people to ask me . You think the KK weighs more than say what I have with ARB, heavy rock rails, skids etc etc etc. Don't think so, not that much more
You can gain that much with clevis / top plate etc. pretty easy, The 790s don't gain that much height just way stiffer. But then what do I know? Right, tell you what stop over Friday when we're doing lift number 20 in my garage and I'll educate ya a little and take you for a ride with a KJ and 790s

Dude Im not trying to argue or get an internet attitude with you, or say I know more. Clearly don't hence why I am asking. Depending how Thursday goes and if I am in town Friday sure I would gladly like to stop by and check it out. From the weight specs I have seen from KJ to KK I would make the safe assumption that the diesel KJ front springs would be able to make the transition to kk fine and I have been looking at the backbone with winch some where down the line I will pm you my email or cell nubmer to shoot me a text so I can be educated.

Answered your PM, Thanks
Not trying to argue either just the facts that the KK has a curb weight less than a KJ right off the bat.
I ran for 100,000 with the weight of the ARB etc and 927 springs and no problems. Just trying to determine why you think the 790s would be ideal. The heavier springs do not actually give you more lift they will though hold more weight up. Even with the weight of the backbone and winch you're still in the neighborhood of the ARB alone. 790s with aftermarket bumper and winch are "almost" ideal but way to stiff otherwise.
927s, clevis lift and top plate should put you right about where you want to be.
