So here is my first post. I just bought a 2006 Liberty crd, 33k miles. I LOVE IT!. What is the recomendation for mods to make to this vehicle so it lasts, and gives better performance and miliage. I have been looking at green diesel engineering and inmotion for reprograming the ecu.....not sure where to start.

Thanks,
Andy

Noob guide has some excellent information on minor mods and mostly preventative care. Other than that, I have a 06 CRD bought since new and other than the EHM, magnaflow muffler, K/N filter, no other mods. My opinion: if it ain't broke don't fix it and better off leaving stock for more reliability. Sometimes more you mess with something, the more problems it creates.

Read the Newbee guide that is a sticky here in the main CRD forum. you will learn a lot. Its basicly all the comman questions and things most owners do to there's

what I would do first is the ORM mod and clean the MAP sensor. at 33k you still have low miles but the MAP will likey be dirty. theese two thing are almost free. the ORM will keep soot from the EGR mostly out until you do the GDE tune or SEGR. then next when you have the cash and time do the EHM or install a Provent to keep oil vapors from the CCV out of the intake. some say this is not needed you decide.

I did the ORM mod and map cleaning first, then provent. I had mine over a year and then got a GDE tune.

check your fuel head too if you dont have the updated model you may want to to get one. mine did have the updated one and I have had no problems so I'm leaving it alone and not installing a lift pump untill I need to.

Bottom line is don't go mad thinking you need to do all the stuff now.... you can do what you can in order of importance to you and your budget. If it isn't broke and it you dont see a big issue with it stock leave it alone.
