Really thinking of trying these for my next tires. I have OME lift (790's in front) with 3/8 top plates and 3 conduit washers. Extra spring plate in rear..ect. I am on the fence between the 235-85-16 and the 265-70-16 sizes. I like the stock alum wheels and dont want to change them. I would have to measure again, but I think I am 21.5 from center of wheel to fender.

Better mention, the pinch welds are already pounded and I have the ARB bumper, so the front clearance issues are kind of addressed.

265 tires with stock rims might rub on the uca a little and 235/85 will be a bit taller and you will notice a loss in power. 245/75 would be the same height as the 265/70 and not wide enough to rub. If you got aftermarket wheels or spacer you could benefit from the wider tire.

I was worried about the 265-70 being to wide for the stock wheels. I think the 235-85 is what I'm looking for, not worried about a small power loss I think the diesel has enough to turn a 32" tire just fine.
bugnout, any problems with anything rubbing at any times? Your setup is very close to mine.

Slight rubbing in the front at full lock. The tires catch the rear of the fender liner. I just avoid going full lock unless absolutely necessary. Stock 16x7 wheels which have 5.5 inch offset. I think the perfect offset would be 5.0, keep the tires off the liner and keep them inside the wheel wells.

Looks like bugnout has a front bumper and a missing rear bumper cover which allows the fitment. I take it that the 235/85s will not fit with OEM bumpers in place?

Anybody else got pics of 235/85s on their KJ?
