Without a lift, these will definitely rub like hell. they are almost an inch taller than the 245/70s

Thanks for all the good recommendations guys. After seeing that the spacers are $90 each I'll probably just go with new wheels. Im not a fan of spacers, but I thought if I could try some cheap ones out Id go for it.
Regarding Seth's comment. Even with wheels with a bigger offset instead of spacers there will still be more stress on the ball joints correct? So either way it will cause premature wear.
Also, I got a 4 wheel alignment after the lift and everything was brought to spec

okay, so I received my spacers, have been cleaning them and purchased the green permatex... is that the right color.
Says that it will stay on unless you get the goo at 500F or above then torque them off.
Also, what are the correct torque specs for the spacer nuts and then the wheel lug nuts with spacers on?
thanks!

Think that I would use blue/medium strength.

I love my renny wheels, but am going to be throwing on my 245/75/16s in the next week.
I don't want to buy new wheels, but everyone says that spacers are dangerous.
Where is the best place to buy, and I am guessing that 1.25 will work, 5on5.

I have Renegade wheels too with BFG KM2s LT 245/75/16. Since I did some exstensive trimming to the front and rear bumpers; I have little to no rubbing issues. Plus my pinch welds aren't even pounded. I thought about wheel spacers but all it would do for me is give my KJ that wider stance; which I'm not really wanting right now.

What? :dizzy:

How are they rubbing with 235's? I've looked at your CarDomain page btw and nice Jeep.
Anyways, I think since you have the 235/70 (wider tire) it rubs on the sway bars. As you know already the 245/75/16 is a taller tire so maybe it won't rub so bad on the sway bar like the 235's do :juggle:. Trimming the front bumper helps alot with rubbing (atleast it did with me).

What tire are you going with in the 245/75/16? I'm curious...

X2

I'm running the so called "crappy Daystar lift" on stock suspension parts :ROTFL:
And I don't even rub

Something's wrong with your Jeep riptricket for 235's to be rubbing like that

Its because the more you lift our IFS the more the wheels are pulled in. Changing to bigger, wider tires will only make it worse. No wheels with slightly less backspacing would fix this. Or just don't use full lock

My tires rub the sway bar at lock. I do not see the problem, very rare I have to hold at lock. Even if it did not rub it is hard on pump etc. to hold full lock.

I got the Spider/Trax 1.5" jobbs. As I understand it the only issues (as long as you re-torque them after 100 miles or so) is the added stress on the wheel bearings.

So i have a bolt/screw, they can't tell what it is, in my tire that is sidewall to road tread that can't be fixed, so I will be putting on my 245/75's tomorrow morning
YAY FOR UNEXPECTED SURPRISES!
and then we will see if I am going to put the spacers on.

Put then on. Torque them to 90 ft pounds. Intall your wheels. Drive for a hundres miles. Remove your wheels and re-torque the spacers to 90 ft pounds. Install your wheels and drive away.......

If i didnt have to park in such tight areas i wouldnt bother, but its everyday getting in and out of my parking spot mine rub badly. also, now that its lifted it just doesnt look right to me with the wheels in from the fenders like that. stance looks too narrow. Im deciding between two different wheels. what do you guys think? My renny has all the fenders and bumpers bedlinned and the fender bolts are also black now instead of chrome
