Is this this kit I need to repair the front pump valves?

That's the shift kit - which may or may not work
(the computer should learn to adapt to the pressures)

in either case - it does not affect the front pump

With your TCM tune, the Transgo shift kit will not do anything except make the 1-2 and 2-3 shift a little rougher, it is not any faster after the TCM adjusts the volumes over time. The TCM is already set to do lock-to-lock shifting, which quickens the shift and provides better torque control. What is the price for a new front pump and drainback valve?

I just wanted to get it to fix the valve in the front pump. The sport does not have a TCM tune, but it likes to stall in reverse some times. I now notice it does it when I am backing up and take my foot off the accelerator. I was thinking a pressure problem is locking up the TC and causing the stall? So do you think I would be better off to get a new front pump, or just use this kit to fix the valve in the existing pump? That kit on ebay says it saves the pump and valve body. I am pretty sure Warp2diesel mentioned this kit more then once?

Your problem sounds like transmission service is in order. Replace leaking main filter seal and spin on filter. Make sure you use a seal driver to install the main filter seal and tighten spin on filter 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket contact. It takes 8 quarts of ATF-4 to refill to proper level.

Note: The new spin on filter should have a recent date on it to avoid the bad ones.

That might be a good idea before I pull out the tranny. I did make my own check valve mod, but if the seal to the spin on or pan filter is leaking it could be causing my problem. I might just try new filters. Any one have the Mopar part numbers?

You can go to NAPA and use Wix filters, they work fine and probably is what the Mopar's filters are.
