Been a while since that has been the case

I paid 3.89 at a station where regular unleaded was 3.99 :pepper:

Diesel is $3.82 at Fred Meyer, Portland, Oregon, IF a Fred Meyer credit card is used and you have enough qualifying points from buying other stuff with their plastic. Otherwise, it's $3.97.
High price in the area is $4.59 .

Diesel here is still more expensive at $3.99 while gas is now at $3.89. It seems that diesel prices fluctuate less than gas prices which I guess in a way makes me a little feel better. At least I don't have to worry about getting that screwed feeling after you fill up and then pass another station with it $0.20 less.

I wonder if we're going to see bio getting cheaper than diesel again soon?

Looking at Gas Buddy on my phone now and about to head out and fill up. the cheapest Diesel near me is Turkey Hill @ $3.999 they are not usually the cheapest, Royal Farms is most of the time but they are $4.099 now. most expensive diesel here is at a shell station for $4.289 that place is always the most expensive and I don't understand why.

the cheapest 87 octane gas $3.399 and goes as high as $3.699

Stop crying! You dont know how much lucky you are! Here in my beautifull CANUCKISTAN cowntry I paid $99.80 to fill my tank with 73,48 litres of B5 today! Hey that's just 19.41 american gallons! So I pay $5.42 each gallon! I think I can find Canola oil in special for cheaper.. Home brew Bio is not just a futur project anymore...It's time to consider alternative seriously.

I feel like I got lucky somewhat... when I got to the cheapest filling station I posted about the sign with prices listed Diesel for $4.099 so needing to be at work soon and now time to drive to another one I decieded to just get it there. when I was actually at the pump the pump was still charging 3.999 :pepper:   never thought I would be happy about $4 a gallon but it could be worse. And OldSkull yes it is about time or ratherpast time that as a group of nations we find other sources of fuel. There are non food competing bio fuel stocks that we could tap into. Way back in the 1970's during and after the Opec embargo, during The Carter pessidency they wanted to build Algee farms in the deasert to make bio fuels. at a cost of then about $25 millon dollars or something like that they thought they could make enough the fuel the country. Now we spend billoins a day to keep some level of peace in the middle east so the oil will flow to us and the rest of the world that needs to import it. Carter did a lot to improve the our energy use and get us as a counrty to be more efficent, he even had solar panels on the white house. After he left office those big dreams of energy indpendance and green power along with the solar panels went in favor of the now cheap again oil and corprate greed and excess.

Think where we might be now if we started algee based bio fuels then...... we would not be importing like we do now and I'm sure we could thumb our noses at those radicals that hate us but need us to buy their oil.

You all should watch the Fuel Film

To which radicals do you refer: Canadians? Mexicans? Saudis? Nigerians? These are the top 4 countries that supply the USA with oil.

I do agree with your assessment of Carter. I have a framed letter from him thanking me for an energy conservation initiative. I can't think of any other president who would have taken the trouble.

Its the Canadian radicals that concern me. Like maple syrup, Canada's evil oozes over the United States.
