Just ordered it, been mulling it over pretty much since I bought my Libby, I can never keep anything stock, and this seemed like the most logical place to start (other than the stuff in the Noob guide). I will be going with the ECO tune since I haven't done anything else to the Libby. Feeling a little "un-easy" about the purchase right now, but I always feel that way dropping cash like that, I'm hoping that the nervous apprehension will be overtake by awesome fuel economy and extra power.

I have a tendency to keep everything stock, but this was soooo worth it.

Sure. In my overall driving, I have no use at all for excessive mods or radical looking mods. I want a comfortable, small vehicle to drive everyday, that will tow what I need to tow when I need to tow it and, on the other days, simply start and go. Once I got the GDE tune, the Liberty ran smoother, quieter and with less smoke than before and there is no physical evidence that it exists. I like that.
If I had a need for constant changes to the tune, I suppose I would order the programming tool, but the tune itself is great and it was a simple, no-brainer, process to have it done.

Did you notice a large improvement in MPG?

15-20% increase for both highway and in town. GPS corrected, hand calculated, filled to top of filler neck. Updated my Eco Tune back in November and at least around town my EVIC mpg is within 0.5mpg or so of being correct.

My mileage also improved, but the EVIC is still a cruel joke of a device, so, I pretty much ignore it. It'd be tough to really quantify the improvement, but it did definitely improve. I only calculate it from the odometer and gallons used. Over time it all evens out.

Exactly, it is close enough that I am not going to hand calculate.

Just uploaded my Eco Tune with GP update yesterday. Runs sooo much smoother. Have yet to calculate mpg's, but I don't expect much cuz I've been heavy on the pedal.

I change my driving "habits" and never exceede 2000rpm each time my tranny shift and never use overdrive in city driving. The only time my rpm goes over 2000 It's to shift in overdrive (5) on the Hw since my Jeep got the F37 TCM revision ' I let my engine purr arround 1800 rpm (100Km/h).

Just hit the 25miles/gallon (City/Hw) with my last tank and didn't change my oil, or put on summer tires, or change my air filter, or shine it using magic wax!

The EVIC show 30! Calibration is not DC forté! .....

[quote="OldSkull", or shine it using magic wax!
:[/quote]

You could have hit 35 mpg if you used the magic wax. :SOMBRERO:

I borrowed the programmer. (sent it back for refund on the deposit) the tune was worth it. the Jeep is smoother more power and a bit more MPG. before with no mods I was getting 18-19 city in the summer and 13-17 city in the winter. now I been seeing 18-20 city all winter. I have a little bit of a heavy foot too. seems I am always speeding a bit. I have seen up to 33 MPG on the highway since the tune.

Just did the update with the programmer, very easy to install, actually, the hardest part was lining the GDE sticker on my rear window. Took it for a quick test drive and can already tell that there is a better throttle response, can't wait to take it to work tomorrow and see how it does on the highway.

If you have a nice on ramp to rocket up you will have some fun  I can often get up to speed merge in with cars I used to not quite dare to and leave those cars that been on the freeway in the dust rather fast.

Forgot to mention. In addition to improved mpg and performance after about a tank of fuel no more smoke on hard acceleration where before it looked like I was fogging for mosquitos.

Someone else on here was claining his oil didn't turn black and no one believed him but since my last oil change my oil didn't turn black as fast.

Loving this tune, been driving with it for the past couple of days, the fuel gauge isn't moving as fast, extra low end power is great, but something that I didn't expect is the upper end power, since my daily commute is 2/3s highway (25 miles) this comes in handy. If you are wanting to do anything to your CRD this has to be at the TOP of the list.

How long did it take to upload on your 05? I know the firmware has been updated on the programmer since I attempted months back. I will eventually buy the programmer again when I need an update with glow plug replacement. I am very satisfied with my Eco tune.

Well you first have to upload your current data from your Liberty to the programmer, which took 20-25 min, and then send it to GDE, they then send you the tune, downloading the tune to the Liberty took about 20-25 min as well. They were very nice, I sent them my file at around 5:00pm, and I got the updated file around 6:30pm the next day.
