Mason, I'll get hold of you later inthe week. Come pick this motor up and we'll talk about the deal! I will probably be around next Sat. As far as assembly on the V8 ... I have no heat out there and I'm still a San Diego 8) kinda guy at heart (even after being here for 20 years! ) ... It's cold out there and I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold temps!! :-)r I just kinda shutdown till the temps hit at least in the 40's!! Grew up playing out at Glamis/Buttercup Dunes and hangin out in Anza Borrego Desert .... me and cold don't get along!!!!

So, I got the shifter on hand now, I also picked up one of those Lo-Tek A-Pillar 2 gauge pods, and ordered the Auto Meter Ultra Lite II trans temp and oil pressure gauges to put in it.

Come oooonnnnnnnnnnn Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read through this entire post throughout my work day. Awesome!!! My wife has a 2004 Jeep Liberty and we have three more years to pay it off. Gives me plenty of time to plan. Ha ha...
I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Excellent job KJ. Love it so far. The project never ends, that is fun part (also frustrating, and stressful part). I just picked up a 1996 ZJ Limted. Got plenty of plans for it already. Only paid $500. So no warranty or payment worries. Ha.
Good luck and I will be following.

I did get out there this past week and started taking parts off the engine again for the final install of the new Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. ( Temps hit the lower 40's!! ) So ... now that I have the A.R.P. bolt kit, new manifold and most of the bolt on parts, I'll start a FINAL assembly of the engine. Once the weather decides if it is going to STAY in the 40's at LEAST, I'll get out there and really get going again on this little modification project thing I'm working on!! I'm really starting to get anxious to get working on it again. Still quite a bit to do, but I think once I get a break from the weather and can really spend some time out in the driveway, it should come together nicely! :pepper: :JEEPIN:

Stay tuned for progress reports as Spring reaches Northwest Ohio!!!!

I think he will hit as hard as he can as soon as the weather STAYS above 50, S. Cali boy can't take the cold :ROTFL:

Ha ha, Nice. Lazy sensored word. If I can handle the 40mph winds in WY where I work now, he can handle that little itty bitty cold ha ha.

No updates right now. Hart's right, just working my bum off. Not much time for anything right now. As soon as they hire a new industrial maintenance guy (or girl) for third shift I should be able to get back on it. Until then ...... ! I'm as anxious to get out there as anybody!! Gotta go now, Be to work by 7P and work til at least 7A.
I'll update more as soon as I can!!!! 8)

Well I finally got out to the garage on Saturday (at Hart's urging!! :D ) and started pulling apart the engine for a final assembly with full gaskets! Did some more on it today for a little while before going over to my Sis' house to watch all the nieces and nephews run around the yard looking for Easter eggs!

Also spent more money!! Oh well ..... it's all good!
These parts should be here this next week. ...... There went the budget!!! :ROTFL: New totals to be edited/posted on first page in a while.

New MSD Distributor

8.5 mm plug wires

Oil Pressure and Trans temp gauges for the A Pillar gauge pod

Also found and ordered electrical connectors for the new wiring harness. I'll be getting a bunch of different configurations, 6- 2 pin, 2- 4 pin, an 8 pin and a couple 12 pins, along with the special tool for the pin installation, male and female ends come with these. Kindof expensive but I think it will make for a much more finished job when I'm done.

Please post videos when this is done. BTW kinda hard to answer but when do you think it will be at the turnkey stage?
