Took the KK to a locally sponsored Jeep Rally for Life event to support the fight against cancer. Drove in a parade to local fairgrounds and showed solidarity with walkers raising funds for the fight. Crummy last minute change of Saturday schedule had me leaving after parade. By the time I was able to return, I missed being able to participate on a backwoods course for "playtime". I got there as the last Jeeps were let on the course. I snapped a few photos of the beginning portion. Went back to Erwin's CDJ (sponser) for lunch but had to leave again before raffle and auction started. Only about 100 Jeeps participated this year. I'm sure the rain and fuel costs threw a shadow on that one. There were more non-wrangler participates this year than in the last three that I've attended. I was nice to have people come over and ask about KK's milage :ROTFL: , tow capability, and the lift. Particularly the shocks. It was a fun time despite the brief rain showers. Next year, I'll roll up to the event with a beater of a wrangler or a new set of MtnLvrs bumpers  Here are some pics.

The usual suspects at the event :goink:

All in all a fun time for a great cause. :JEEPIN:

Just seafoamed the Jeep. I had much more smoke coming out of my 25+K mile jeep vs my 53K mile Camaro

Green leather in a green Jeep would look good.

The Grand with the half doors has a web logo on the front driver fender that reads "jeepmonkeys.org". I haven't looked it up yet. Teckman spent some time talking with the owner of that machine. I'm sure he learned some interesting info on it. Right, Teck?

The playground for the Jeeps was located on the property of the Fulton family just east of Troy, OH. They are a MAJOR supplier of strawberries (and many other farm produce types) for the region and have quite a bit of property. Fulton Farms sponsor many local events and our little town of Troy is famous for its Strawberry Festival which is coming up soon. As popular as strawberries are around here, you should their pumpkin patch. Linus would be very impressed!

Are you talking about the upper ball joint connection to the spindle? If so, you can just use a wrench to hold the ball joint in place while using another wrench on the nut to tighten it.

i find it easier to put some upward pressure on the suspension with a jack to get them torqued down. or lower the vehicle back to the ground and torque it down, same thing.

Ill take pics real quick and how the F do you get the rear springs back on once the spacers are on the back? They make this sound so easy and that its going to be fast when in theory I think my 4" kit was easier then this

cant see your pics. you might have to disconnect the rear sway bar. mine is completely removed. if i take off my rear shocks the rear spring will practically fall outta mine. try putting a bottle jack or your stock jack in between the jeep and the rear axle to make it easier to spread it out. be sure not to over extend your brake lines.

Got the rear done That was easy once I got the rear sway disconnected. Passenger side was a pain to get the bolt out the impact didn't do the job so I had to use good ole elbow grease. I think it took me longer to drop the spare down then anything else. Now I just need to figure out how to get this bolts to tighten.

After doing some work on the KK (fixing issue on relocated EVAP Canister), went for a dusk drive through a local park for a test drive and to check out the local white tails (mostly deer that is  ). Beautiful evening to cruise with the windows down, the sunroof open and the cool 80F evening breeze rustling through the trees. :JEEPIN:

I wish I could help... I installed the RK lift on my old KK 2 years ago and I didn't have any problems with the front. A buddy helped me but we did the full kit with hand tools and a floor jack in a few hours. I wish I could remember how we did the front. If your that stuck try calling RK. I've called them and they seem pretty knowledgeable on the phone and were very helpful.

Look at the ball joint shaft. The bottom of it, below the threads, has a hex head on it. Put a wrench on that to keep it from spinning while you torque down the nut. Mine did the same thing yours is doing the second time I pulled my suspension apart.
By the way, if your ubj feels too loose and has no resistance when moving it around it is time for replacement, which means replacing the a arms.
