Mine goes to the dealer in the morning since I didn't have time to test the wiring. I will update this with the results.

The Jeep is fixed. The part cost me $29 and the labor was $40. I thought it would be more than that. Glad to see my Jeep sitting in the driveway again. It was gone for one night but missed it like crazy!

One thing about sealed bearings like the front unit bearings the KJ uses and ABS sensors..............

Always replace the whole bearing assembly with new sensor already installed.75% of all cases I have dealt with have been corrosion inside the bearing messing with the sensor and the only way to get rid of that corrosion is to replace the whole bearing + sensor as just replcing the sensor is a temp fix only. There are many TSB's and even some recalls over these types of ABS sensor/bearing combo's (depending on what state you live in) due to corrosion effecting the tone ring.It can be a real scary feeling with corrosion build up in the bearing and ABS,as it will brake normally till you get to around 5mph and then you have the feeling of loosing all brakes no matter how hard you press the brake pedal. The other 25% are from cut wires.

If the bearing needed to be replaced, they (the shop who works on my Jeep) would have said so. I'm just blessed that I had enough money to pay for the repairs.

Over 90% of the bearings I've replaced that have been bad never showed any physical signs of being bad(slop, play,or other such terms),but howled like crazy under a load.Plus you really can't see inside a sealed hub bearing, hence the "sealed" part.

Just saying from professional experiance.

The only howling I hear is my KM2s :ROTFL:
I have never towed anything with my Jeep since I have owned; except to pull my buddy's KJ out and towed that XJ down to the Shell Station. That's about it. Jeep drives fine now with the new sensor. Hopefully the next time my Jeep is at their shop, it will be for making my tube doors; not Jeep repairs!

Just got my Jeep back with no dash lights!!! Mine was the left front bearing however when the tech went to replace the sensor it broke into mulitple pieces with some of it stuck in the wheel hub.

A new hub and the Jeep is back on the road.
