I agree 100% with this statement.. I wanted something different too, but I found four rims and (good) tires for $100 on Craigslist. So I couldn't pass that up. Now that I have another set of rims and tires, I might paint up the Cragars.

I say keep your rims and black them out, maybe keep the brushed aluminum outside ring around it. Do something different other than those rims every one is running. 245 70 16 fit stockers just fine, I ran mine from about 20,000 miles to just recently at 41,000 roughly then got lifted. Prior to the lift I had no rubbing at all but then again this has been discussed in the tire section many times. :JEEPIN:

Another reason to do soft 8s or moabs is to lessen or possibly fix the sway bar rubbing at full lock. Other then looks thats my main reason.

At 41,000 something and running 245 70 16's Destination At's, I had no rub at all. The look is personal which is why I would sway away from the soft 8's, everyone seems to get them at first instead of doing something different. Just my :2cents:

I hear ya on original, but my 245 70-16 tires are rubbing at full lock on the sway bars and now the bar has a nice shine on each side where the tire meets it. My favorite saying is "to each their own" I love my current wheels, but they rub and Id rather get wheels then spacers. Plus I love the soft 8 look. :JEEPIN:

It's crazy how everyone says their tires rub... I am running 245/75/16 Mud Tires all around and they don't rub at all on the road, and unless I flex it up on the trail, they don't rub either.

Is something wrong here?!?!

Yours might have been lifted on the previous owner or something. its proven that 245-75 and 265-70 rub badly without lift.

Read ALL Js writeup on frankelifts. Its common for full lock tires to rub the sway bars. I only have the issue on level ground when turning full lock.

Nope, no lift whatsoever. I've checked, and checked again. It's really strange.

Might have brand new springs and shocks so you havent sagged yet. My 06 was at high 17in low 18in area and 245 70-16s rubbed sometimes at full or near full lock.
