I realize this is a "silly" statement, maybe not. Last weekend I was wheeling with a group of various vehicles one of which was a '68 Bronco well equipped with a roll bar. Last I saw him was when he was rolling over going down a fairly steep hill.......he wasn't wearing his seat belt. He didn't make it as he was partially ejected from the vehicle and it rolled over him.

Please, wear seat belts when off roading (or always for that matter). Nuff said on that subject.

I agree 100%. The slightest miscalculation on the trails can spell disaster. Years ago, I had a friend go nose first into a mud pit because he thought the entry was firmer that it was. His belt kept him out of the windshield. On the roads, there are too many crazies and/or distracted drivers that can send you belly up before you know it.

My jeep doesn't move an inch unless everyone is buckled up.

I heard about a bronco roll over last weekend. Can't remember where it happened though. Sorry to hear about your loss.

That's exactly what I say. I had a cousin get thrown out of a pickup while mudding and he got badly banged up and almost didn't make it. We were like 16, ever since then I don't go anywhere with out them ALL buckled in.

I have a warning on my top that states the top and doors(if equipped) are not designed to hold you in the vehicle.
Every time any one questions seatbelts, even if its just a trail through the woods, I point to that and tell 'em to buckle up or get out and walk. My friends are riding in my jeep, anything bad happens to them and it will be in my conscience forever. Knowing me not making them buckle up caused serious injuries, or possibly death to my friends. I can't live with that, don't know many people who could.

Along the same lines, make sure everything is secured in your Jeep too. Last thing you need in a rollover is getting conked in the head with a fire extinguisher. When I was a paramedic I treated one young man who was in a very survivable crash, except that a loose tool box stored in the interior caught him in the throat. He died in the operating room.

Grannysgoat is right, always where your seat belts!
Though I often hang out my window or door to navigate between obstacles I always wear my seatbelt simply so I don't fall out.

There's a viral video going around of a Yota (I think) rolling over and the driver seamlessly falling out the door and standing up. Totally staged video. Most rollovers aren't that harmless.

Don't forget too guys that the stock bar that you see in your Jeeps isn't really a roll bar but a "sport bar". Less durable.
