Traded it and my smart car in for an diesel excursion... my family's just growing, wasn't going to get a suburban. I really thought I was going to drive this jeep to the end of the world. BUT life deals another card. My wife cried as it drove away.
So, sorry guys, thank you all very much for the help and knowledge. I know I wasn't a big poster on here, but reading through all the forums was loads of fun and I learned alot!
guess I'll be hanging out with the powerstroke guys... and maby one day they'll make a jeep again - er sell a jeep again in the USA with a diesel as cool as our little VM's
Till then!

Hope you have the 7.3L it is better than the 6.0L that killed the relationship between Ford and Navistar.

Good luck

My guess is it is a 6.0 diesel or he would not have been able to trade two cars on it. But a Vegistroke veg oil conversion kit might still work good on it. then all the money you save on fuel you can use to fix the 6.0 problems. The aftermarket has come up with a lot of fixes.

Yep, it's a 2005 6.0, I'm able to squeeze 16-19 MPG out of this thing so far, haven't tried biodiesel - although I'm a big advocate of BIO, it's just not near my route, and we're not driving as much as we used to, and now that we live in the city, I can't really make it (the biodiesel) anymore.
The PSD sure sounds awesome, and we can fit the entire family in the truck with luggage on road trips, AND we can pull the 9000LB boat! I'm pretty happy with it, for the first several weeks I had serious buyer's remorse, now that that's done, i'd really like to have my jeep back cause the ride was much better, hmmm, guess I still have buyer's remorse... WHYYYYY :banghead: :banghead:
Ok I really like the truck, I really like the truck,,,, boat boat boat.
