I have owned my CRD now for a year i love it. but i want to mod it. i am looking for a 2.5 suspension lift that wont break the bank, a solid skip plate and chip for it. Also might look into a new front bumper if there are any good ones out. all i can find is doo doo for the gassers and nothing really for the CRD Help would rock, im station here at ft. bliss in el paso and we have tons of dunes and no mans land but cant find the mods to make for a fun weekend so help.

Buy the OldManEmu (OME) lift kit for the Liberty CRD. That will give you plenty of lift. You can't lift the CRDs as much as the gassers. If you rarely off-road, the Mopar skids for the Jeep Liberty will do. You said there's mostly sand dunes around, so I believe the Mopar skids will hold up. As far as the chip deal, check out the CRD section. There are some tune ups you can do to help your CRD perform at its best.

I don't know of any chips for the CRD that anyone would recommend. someone here had one, I don't recall who or what the chip was called but I think he stopped using it. There are 2 companies that offer tunes you upload to the Engine management computer, one is Inmotion and the other that is more well regarded here is Green Diesel Engineering or GDE Eco performance tune on mine, there is also a HOT tune and a full torque Eco tune for Liberty's with upgraded torque converters. I can tell you the Eco tune is nice. It smooths out the throttle response, adds more power and torque while protecting the converter in lockup, and gives you a nice little boost in MPG.

for a lift just get the OME 790 springs for the front and OME rear springs along with OME shocks and struts and you should be good to go. Or go with the Frankenlift if you want to spent a little more.
