the tech said a rod broke and would not recommend rebuilding it?!:juggle:

Sam hunts them down and rebuilds them - Damm fine pursuit, I wish I had the skills or cash to do that with these.

Any chance you are thinking of selling the accessories? I'm looking for a roof rack or at least cross bars for mine next...

geordi i mad my own roof rack cross bars out of chain link fence parts and painted the and it cost me 20 bucks instead of like 200 for the fancy ones but yea i would sell the roof rack

put an oil presser tester on it and not oil presser so i deff lost a bearing looking for a new crank and bearings any one have any words of wisdom???

and just a little update the truck has turned into the most expensive yard ornament ever!!! the dealer would not even take the truck so it is just sitting aroud looking good but not running:(

Find out what you need for parts and start searching.... it may take a while but I amsure you will come out ahead. You can rent the tools. I would begin planning the tare down to findwhat the problem is.

How did the technician discover it has a broken rod? What do you think caused the rod to brake?

It maybe a simple fix, the truck is broke and in limbo, i would start to get my hands dirty before you start to part it out.

i know thats what I'm gonna do but i was driving and it started knocking not sure why but it spun a bearing so probably order them through wholesale mopar

Don't order anything yet...... you first need to know what's broke. Do you have a knowledgable friend or a mechanic that can help you?

There's another VM parts guy in england that has helped out a few of the members on the board .... get his name and few others and keep them handy so that when your ready to order parts you can shop for the most economical price.

And we will need to hear the noise the engine is making.

Make a sound byte of the noise the engine is making when it's running and post it here.
