I got my 2005 Liberty two months ago. Last week I took out the MAP sensor to see how bad it was, thinking that it has been stock since 05.... Took it out and it was just slightly dusty... !?!?!?

How can this be? Everyone on this forum has terribly gunked up MAPS especially if they have gone 70k stock.

am I missing something?

previous owner may have cleaned it before or had it brought in for warranty and they were competent enough to clean it. Mine wasnt cleaned for ~60-80k miles(dad cleaned it once but i dont know when) and it looked like this

Recent cleaning or replacement is certainly possible. That said there are several modes, including a GDE tune, that could also explain a clean sensor.
