If they just lock old thread like this one, the spammers will not bring to life old stuff and got no choice to post in what's new on the board...Easyer to manage and we still have the option to use old link to thread if need for exemple. No more intense cleaning need

I don't see the need to lock down old threads. We are so well self governed here that any spam bots that do make it through just get wiped off the same day.
