Vacuum line that leads to air intake?

I was wondering if there is a vacuum line that runs to the air intake manifold. I am looking at doing the sea foam vacuum line trick to clean the air intake area. Does anyone have an idea if there arent any vacuum lines to accomplish the same result?

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! :dizzy:

There is no throttle plate on a diesel and if you do this you stand a good chance of having the motor "run away". If you're lucky it will slow down before it goes KABOOM.

If you really want to clean the intake pull it off and use some elbow grease and maybe a little diesel fuel!

Ha guess i didnt think that part through. I already had the manifold off-dont suggest it at all PITA. I cleaned it out as much as possible but there is so much gunk its nearly impossible besides dipping it which would require camshaft and bearing removal. Simply not worth it and was looking for the easy way out. Thanks for the reply.

Engine runaway would be a risk of such a process, it seems to me.

Fortunately, there is NO vacuum present anywhere in the intake air lines or manifold. It's a turbocharged throttle-less diesel. With no throttle plate, the turbo pressurizes EVERYTHING clear to the intake valve.

The lack of a throttle plate also makes it impossible to install a functioning pop-off valve, thus frustrating street racers.
