I put the Jet stage 2 and Magnaflo and really like it. Great pick up and Magnaflo is not too loud

I would go with an exhaust. Personally I don't really believe in the JET chip. Just my opinion. I've heard that the intakes don't really have any added benefit either. I see you already have a K&N anyways. With my exhaust I've noticed a definite increase in acceleration and the sound is great too. I haven't really noticed any change in the gas mileage.

I bought a Flowmaster Delta 50 and had a local shop take the resonator off and replace it with a 3" straight pipe and a turn down tip. The whole thing, including tax and fees, was $312. The muffler alone was like $160.

I just did muffler and they installed. It was 143.00 including labor. My resonator is still on. Heard that they get obnoxious loud without it.

sent from my Sprint evil EVO.

I didn't want mine to be too loud, that's why I went with the 50 series instead of a 40 or 44. Mine's not too much louder than stock at idle, there's a definite difference under load, but I don't think it's too aggressive. I have a few neighbors with Magnaflows of Super 44s and they're much louder than mine.

I went with a Thrush welded, removed resonator and did it in my driveway using exhaust clamps and a hacksaw. I love the tone and all together it was like 65 bucks. Easy to do but I did a write up anyway. viewtopic.php?f=104&t=58062

so every one pretty much just did the muffler? wouldn't it be better off to replace the entire exhaust system, from the headers to the muffler?

I don't think there are headers available for the kk. Cat backs are a waste of money if your stock pipes are in good condition imo.

x2 The KK has petty good pipes on it from the factory, no real tight bends or anything. Unless they're rusted through or something I would save the money on the cat-back and just do a muffler

Same thing the muffler shop told me. He said save the money for a lift and come back and see me. Haha.

eh?

I've heard good things about those. The straight threw design allows it to be much higher flowing than stock. I had my choices narrowed down to that and the 50 Series. I decided to go with the Flowmaster because I prefer the sound. That's all personal preference though. The quality on that is great too.

I was going to go with the Dyno but the shop that put my Magnaflo talked me out of it. He said the Magnaflo was what he has been putting on the 3.7s mostly. I also did not want too loud. I had dyno's on my built cutlass and they sounded good.

Correct me here, but I was pretty sure the KK has 2.25 or 2.5 and that is as big as you need to go with our motor type.....
Save your money......

If I am wrong I am sorry... I am working from older search engine software...

You are correct. It has 2.5 pipes. You shouldn't need anything larger.
