whosthedaddy07, The export KJ gets the same TSB 08-005-11 for Glow plugs as the North American model according to this doccument:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... 8XbKm32AgwLook at page 131, 132 for particulars on the ECM part number updates, etc. Before any procedures are initiated by the dealer you should personally inspect the new glow plug control module and make sure that it has the correct part number on the unit itself and not just the box it comes in. As per the TSB it should be part number 68090431AA. If it has part number 56044671AC, it is the wrong one. That one is for ceramic plugs. If the part number is blacked out with a marker, run away!
Thanks Everyone for this info my heads spinning with info overload now,
Funny you said that ive got what you've said part 56044671AC in a 68090431AA box and blacked out so i took it back to the dealer and complained so they reordered one direct from Italy and quess what they sent a exact part as i took back plus crossed out with black marker to again the dealer was surpposed to be on the case but they have'nt heard anything yet that a week and half plus the service department hasn't looked up about tsb,
So how do i know if 11v or 7v are the ones for my jeep i did a voltage test a while ago at th gp's and that was showing 7v thats why ive been quoteing 7v in the past , the only reason im looking at putting original plugs in is this starting problem ive got first thing, the machanic who did all the work on the engine earlier on in the year as i found out a couple of weeks ago he fitted cheap crap one' in, plus the bosch 7v one's he took out seem to be the wrong part number to, so its a process of elimination from the start again ,
