i just had a brain storm. what if Rock LIzard offered this rack with a bar on the side (just above the doors) like the super skinks that go below the door. I know i've had a few REEEAAAALLLLLYYYY close calls with the top of my jeep tilting over against tree/rocks and bar up there would prevent a blown out window or crushing in the top of the doors/quarter.

i'm 6'1".. .and my head wouldnt get close to hitting the bar if it were there.

if the bar stuck out 3-5 inches it would be perfect. to protect the rear door/quarter

The rack would rip the M6 bolts/nutzerts out of the roof well before being able to prevent a tree/rock from doing body damage.Then you get to add fixing 8 gaping holes in the roof.
