Where is the antenna for the radio on the KJ? Is it hidden? I can't find it. Funny.

Hi,
have a look at the rear windows, it should be rear left one (looking from the front). It's integrated in the glass.
I take it you are not in the US as your signature states Cherockee CRD 2.8.

What a place to put an antenna! I was watching other cars, even new ones and there is no other with the same integrated antenna... Was it a bad idea?
You are right, I bought my KJ in Argentina and the engine is a 2.8 CRD from Mercedes Benz. I thought the American versions also had the 2.8. In the UK they sell a 2.5? Weird policies...

Hi,

your CRD is a VM engine not Mercedes Benz, all KJ have VM engines in CRD format only WJ CRD have MB engines and are 2.7.
The 2.5 CRD was the first diesel engine in the KJ up to 2004 for Europe and the rest of the world, from late 2003 onwards 2.8 was also avalable and then became the only diesel engine.
For the antenna, I think, it's, all in all, a good place to put it as when you go offrad it doesn't snag against branches and break off. All the KJ I see in the UK have then like that and if I am not wrong also the European ones.
