Hey all,
I know there hasn't been a fix to the "overflow" situation, besides replacing the tank to the tune of about $1000 dollars.
I know the reason this is happening is because of the use of more Ethanol in gasoline than there used to be, and the plastic parts swell up and overflow.
Sooooooo, I was hanging out over at JF and came across this thread about the '05-'06 Wranglers where they use a GM hose to fix the overflow situation, it's still early in the testing stages, but it has been noted a few times where it fixes the overflow.
The part sells for ~$30. I was wondering if this can somehow be used to fix our problem as well?
Enjoy the read!

I haven't extensively looked into this, it is quite cold and dark outside, so I figured I'd throw this up here.

Here is the Fuel Tank Setup from the 2007 KJ Factory Service Manual

To bad that GM hose is about 24" to short to work on a KJ.

Just to let you know the valve in ? on a KJ is part of the gas tank and not in the fill hose.

Drop fuel tank, punch out rollover valve(should be a blue plastic ball) in the spout that the fill hose attaches to,problem solved, may have to do teh same for the vent hose but then the MIL will turn on for EVAP codes.

I only ask because I don't know, but why must you replace the whole fill neck hose? Can you just put this GM one in-line with the factory hose to utilize this different type of valve? This would retain the original factory EVAP systems. This would just be adding another valve to the whole set up. The Wrangler's that are having similar problems have a similar setup as us as well, their valve is in the tank, that is why they (and us) must replace the whole tank, and not just one part.
