Hey guys...
Does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic in the Raleigh NC area? I have an 06 CRD that I am going to need to have the 100,000 miles service (timing belt, water pump, etc) done to and was hoping to find a good diesel mechanic who is familiar with the VM diesel engine who could do the work a bit cheaper than the dealership. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

I'm sure you've made your decision by now....

But we've done them.

I hope you're happy with your choice! I love that CRD!

Hello......
Actually I haven't had the work done yet. If you can....shoot me an e-mail at jim_youker@yahoo.com to discuss how much y'all charge. If you are familiar with the 2.8 turbo CRD engine I would love to have another choice vs having to go to the dealership for work done.

Thanks, Jim

Redwolf698,

Just emailed you. I've got a 05 CRD Sport with 72K. The thermostat has gone bad, but I've been debating on doing the water pump and belt all at the same time. Especially since I'll be making a trip with it across country in the next 4-6 weeks. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Jon

Any new info?

I see that Red Wolfe relied that, "they did a few CRD's" at his place, which may or not indicate that they are experts in the CRD.

I really need someone who knows the CRD inside and out.

Ken
