Took my CRD out on the job yesterday and lifted a 3hp grinder pump from a lift station. The winch motor from our service truck went out last week and we had one pump to drop in and one to come back out yesterday so we had to use my lifting attatchment I made for my CRD. It attatches to my plow frame and I use my front hitch mounted winch to lift the pump. Had a lot of people looking as they drove by wondering what was sticking out of the front of the Jeep. I'll take pics when the other pump goes back in.

Sweeeeet... These CRDs are so versatile it's just unreal. I just got back from a state engineers meeting in Des Moines, IA where we used the CRD to get out into a well field that was hidden behind about 2 miles of farm mud and nasty vegitation.

I need to get some "on the job" pictures as well and maybe we can start a "CRD On The Job" photo section either in this thread, or in the posting pictures section...

That would be cool! I'm leaving my camara in my CRD from now on to catch those shots.

I was just getting ready to hit the sack and barely had enough energy to get the computer out and check in. I'm glad I did! That's just the coolest thing. True work truck. Most of the pictures we see are of a KJ next to a rock, or stream, or in the mud(including my pictures) - here is one actually doing work.

Now I've got to start getting some kind of use out of my front mount hitch other than just a recovery point... Hope you don't mind, but I quoted you in this response and edited the quote to get the picture to show up in this thread...

Hey cool I couldn't figure out how to get the picture up here. I can fabricate but I'm still kind of a dummy when it comes to computers. I'll get some closer pics of how it attatches.
