Well funny thing happended today. Son needed tires balanced on his car. Told him I'd meet him after class after he drops off the car for lunch. When he was picking up his car, I asked the salesman what's the biggest tire he had for my
16inch rims with no lift. I was thinking of a 2 inch lift later but.. OH CRAP! Look at that big gash in the tire. Holy moly. Look at those chuncks missing and the puncture wounds. Has my Jeep been in battle or something? Son leaves, salesman said he would fix me up. Sent a text to the wife, "Honey?, remember we were discussing a lift and new tires? Well, the lift can wait. I can put a set of
255/65/17's on the car and wait for the lift. Can we swing it? Well, little did I know, I sent the text to my daughter.

She said "Sure dad". Funny 18 year old female

So, he gave me the price. Everything out the door, 700.00. Ok, well, I was pricing out other tires for more but wanted to stay in the sub 800.00 range. Handed him my card, sent wife the text.
So, only issue, had to replace one APS. Seems the core refused to come out. So, they drilled the tire to let out the air, removed it then put in a new sensor. Tack on another 55 bucks.
So, the tires look nice. Wide, tall and I've already ran over a few mall curbs to see if I get any rub. None.

So, still thinking of a budget lift and I need new shocks anway. Pics of the jeep to follow but I need to get my rock rails off, powder coated and back on before I send any rust shots.
