In the 5th picture, why is that guy getting ready to moon that Liberty?

The bumper looks good tho.
I am assuming you will have really good instructions for putting it on and cutting things up.

Those recessed end caps would be a good place to mount lager backup or utility lights.

Not to be a pain, but could we get a pic of the entire Liberty from the side? I'm really wondering how the bumper changes the overall look, being that it is much higher on the sides then the original.

What did you do to cover up the bolt holes from the stock spare carrier on the rear gate?

You can see from the rear shot how the top of the side follows the body line of the doors, as for the bottom, it will just be up higher in back. Better in my book.

As for the stock tire carrier mount... I had a person push the bottom in by parking too close, and since I had the rack on there, I just put the tire up there, and had the body shop weld the holes and pull out the dent to smooth it out. been that way for a while now...

OK, here are some more teaser pictures of the bumper all welded up. Sorry if I haven't responded to any messages on here or any PMs or phone calls. I was laid up in bed all last week sick as a dog, coughing up blood, high fever, all kinds of good stuff. So, the week I hoped to have worked on this, I was sick, so I busted my butt all weekend to get this thing done. I'm feeling a lot better, but for some reason, I still don't have a voice. I hope it's not permanent. :(

Anyways,I was happy to find out when I threw the bumper on the scale, this beast weighs in at only 100 lbs, which is about 20 less than I expected. And with it mounted on Ted's KJ, there was no apparent sag in the rear, although we didn't officially measure to see. These are probably the last of the preview pics until Moab. I only have one picture of it on the jeep with the start of the tire carrier, and it is dark, so not a very good picture, but you get the idea where it is going. The nice thing about the bumper, is once you get all the old stuff off, it takes about five minutes for you and a buddy to mount this thing up, so a very simple installation.

So, here is what you get until action pics from Moab.

Tire carrier start. No it won't be that high, just cut it long to start things off.

And the rear bumper will have an integrated hitch reciever in answer to an earlier question. Already got that part designed up for ultimate strength, and it gains 4"+ over the stock hitch receiver. A stock hitch will still fit if wanted, like you see in those pictures.

RL wrote: OK, compare this picture to this, and you will get an idea where the hitch will be in comparison to the stock hitch, and the shackle tabs and highlift inserts.

You can also compare that last drawing with the front bumper to get an idea what the front will look like:

I went back and read all the posts/threads, I couldnt find what I was looking for. and I thought I read somewhere when the posts first came out about the hitch receivers in both bumpers. Wasnt it mentioned that you will not need the rear or front frame mounted hitch any longer once the bumpers are installed?

Look closer at the pictures. The hitch hole is there in the bumper

I saw the pic, I was wondering about the question about the need or no need for the hitches?, Basically im not going to buy a front hitch if the bumper will compensate for that., and will i also need to take off the rear hitch since it wont be needed either???

They will both have integrated recievers. It just so happens that the back one allows enough clearance for the stock hitch as well. Why you'd want to continue to use it is beyond me.
