I just had my thermostat replaced and was hoping to send the old core to Mark for one of his modified thermostats.

However, he is not taking any new orders.

Any ideas on what I should do with the old thermostat? Should I wait and hope that Mark starts taking new orders?

I'd hang on to it. Sure as you trash it some option will appear within 30 days of trashing. That's what always happens to me when I finally let go of some garage type thing I've been saving for years just in case; into the trash is a sure fire way to produce that just in case event.

Greasy, it was a joke, shipping these to the USA will be way over $40.

Sorry if I wasted your time. :?

Sorry missed the Spain location. It is about $10 to ship inside the $US. The sudden demand is 1. mine is not going to last very long and I want to make one that I can change the t-stat on. 2. I have a friend who is good with his lathe and owes me a favor. 3. I went to see a couple of CRD's for sale locallyish lately since I am looking for another one and the two I looked at both were at Jeep dealers and both had bad t-stats, bad ball joints, and weak feeling intercooler hoses and high prices ($15k +++)

I will pay the shipping in the US. If anyone here has one. I have one I need one more.

I still need a thermostat core. Did I mention I would pay the shipping in the Continental USA and the $20.

Someone has to have one or two laying around they would like a little money for.

I hope to have my thermostat replaced in the next few weeks. I'll let you know when the time comes in case you're still looking.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will hold onto it, and remain hopeful that Mark/Kap... starts taking new orders.
