Has anybody with a manual transmission KK had this happen to them and have any suggestions as to why? I was driving yesterday and had it in third gear above 4500 RPM a little longer than normal (maybe 2 minutes) as I normally shift around 4000. The MIL light flashed about five or 6 times then went off when I shifted to 4th gear. I checked to see if a code was left in there by cycling the key a few times and nothing came up, so I am thinking maybe it was an indication to shift? When talking to a service agent at my local stealership, they thought this could be the issue, but then again they have no experience with manual transmission kk's, so I thought i'd ask the experts.

Flashing MIL is major misfires detected that is causing damage to the cat's.May need to check for codes with a higher end scanner to check for pending codes or history codes.Could just need new plugs or the correct plugs installed.

Thanks tjkj...If there was a misfire, I would definitely notice this right? She sounded and felt as she normally does, therefore I wasn't alarmed. When I talked to the dealer, they weren't too concerned either. Has anybody with a manual transmission seen this happen?

In some cases a high rpm misfire can be hard to "feel".A flashing MIL is always a major concern and should be checked/fixed ASAP.
