I'm wondering why at 5300 miles I still am only getting 220 to a tank. :/

Got my Bluetooth OBD II sensor in the mail Monday and started using my Torque app. for 20 bucks for the sensor its a neat app that shows me MPG and all kinds of things that I don't NEED to know but enjoy finding out about. :jester:

Installed the upgraded cabin air filter housing in the HVAC. Now I won't be breathing dust and pollen! Kudos to MtnLuvr for creating such a great write-up on how to do this!

Went to Bass Pro last night. Stop at my buddies to drop him off and rig up my new jigging reel. When I left I heard some creaking so I turned around and jacked up the rear end. Sure enough it was coming from the rear U joint. One of the caps had rusted solid. Took out the rear shaft and limped home in fwd. Put a new U joint in this morning when I woke up. Dont recall how many miles ago I installed the custom driveshaft but it should have lasted longer then that... I did however took the lazy way out and installed a sealed greaseless joint. This time I put a greaseable in it.

Tomorrow Im hoping for some big grouper and amberjack on the new jigging combo!

Hooked the boat up to take the kids out to play today. Tows it great. 21' baja with big block and full of fuel. Has to be close to 4000lbs. Jeep barely squats with new lift. I am itching for tires bad!!!!

Took it out on a mini road trip yesterday with the Sky Slider open. First time all year I've been able to go more than a few miles with the roof open.

Improvised a CAI of sorts by cutting slots in my grille.
Details are on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&p=738111#p738111

Also washed my KK, touched up chips and scratches with factory touch-up paint, and took a short drive in the country to test the CAI. I could tell no perceptible difference from the CAI, except for the grin on my face from spending the afternoon modding my Jeep.

So i was helping my fiance's family with a garage sale at her grand parents house this past weekend. Her Aunt found a brand new, still in the box Cobra CB radio buried in the garage.

Starting to install it, but i still need the cable, antenna, and mount. But i did put my first holes into the jeep, although its just the dash. But here is where I am going to place it. Doesnt really interfere with my right leg while driving. But i am stoked to get it all installed completely and will be able to hide all the aux and power cables for my phone when i pull the center console and what not then its off to try it out on the trails.

One of the guys on the FD with me just moved into the FD housing next door to me and just bought a 2012 JK. Turning into a jeep parking lot at the station!!

This weekend I spent a bit of time on some two-tracks around my parent's cottage up in Arenac County, MI.

First day involved a near stuck in a surprisingly deep mud hole that took a few back-and-forths to find myself safe on the other side.
I was in past the axles on the driver's side and was very pleased that my Geolandar AT/S's were up to the task of getting me to the other side.
I'll admit the hole was much more than I had bargained for.

Day two was a result of some very heavy rain we were receiving in the early afternoon. I figured that some nice puddles would have formed on the trails and I was right!
Nice deep puddles with sandy bottoms made for some fun high speed passes. I had meant to have my brother take some in-cabin video, but unfortunately I forgot. There is always next time.

Anyways, here are some pics:

Some pretty sticky mud.

Up high on the mirrors and windows.

After the rainy day washed a bit of the mud off.

And as a little reward, I got a hand wash, wax, and vacuum today. No complaints.
Next Jeep activity is going to be a nice oil change. Likely will be going with some Mobil 1 Full Syn unless I can find a nice deal on some Pennzoil Ultra.

Finally wired my KCs today. Now I have to adjust them, eventually I'll do that when I find a nice field or something. Until then, I will carry the wrench around in the Jeep lol.

Finally got pictures of my plasti-dip work. Masking all of those curves is a lot of work so I've only done one side so far. Still trying to decide if I like it enough to do the other side.

Oh yeah, and I finally replaced my air filter. :)
