I'd like to offer some advice as someone that had a spacer lift and feels it was a waste of money. It wasn't a daystar style with the spacer between the top plate and spring, it actually sat above the top plate and provided a a 2" spacer. The jeep maintained a mostly stock ride and it didn't cause premature failure of the springs. There was also a 2" poly spacer for the rear as well. I ran this set up for about ten thousand miles and it was never more than ok. The biggest problem was on hard bumps, the front shock would occasionally bottom out. I just installed a set of old man emu springs and shocks along with two top plate spacers (1/4") with the 2" poly spacer from the kit. I ended up dropping the clevis an additional 1/4" to even it out as the front was too low. Someone once told me, buy once cry once. That's the second lift I put on and let me tell ya, I don't regret a penny of the money spent on old man emu, I wish I'd done that one first. I used rocky road outfitters first-stay away, the customer service after the sale isn't good and their lifetime guarantee on the sliders is crap, check mtnluver's thread on them.
I also have a detours backbone winch mount. Originally I installed the KJ tow hooks and had one pulled out causing some nasty looking damage. Mark is real good to deal with and his stuff is top notch. There will be some cutting of the plastic and Bosch makes a very good oscillating cutter that's perfect for the job. I've tried almost every brand and that was the only one that didn't leave a giant nasty melted plastic burr that isn't easy to remove.
viewtopic.php?f=113&t=65632Rock Lizzard is probably the best sliders available right now.
If you don't have skids then you should really start there.
Just some of the things that I've learned along the way, hope it helps. Feel free to pm me if you like.
