I bought an ARB locker for the rear and a on-board air compressor and was wondering where I put the compressor. I thought of the firewall or in back or under the seat. The ones with an ARB locker where did you locate the air compressor?

I have a CRD with very limited space under the hood. Compressor is installed between the brake booster and the battery. One side screwed into the battery tray, the other side supported by a custom bracket off the wheel well. Another spot I considered was in front of the fuse block, behind the headlight on the drivers side, ended up using that space for the winch solenoid.

On gassers, you have a lot more options for where to install.

Our ARB compressor sits on the passenger side inner fender.
I still have access to the compressors air filter for regular cleaning.

Thanks y'all for the ideas. also Ryn saw where you are and it made me remember when in 2008 I visited a friend there and she became my tour guide and we explored the area in a rent car...(no jeeps) for a week and I had a blast there checking out the area, hiking some trails, and such. Very expensive but very nice.

I also put mine by the battery box of my CRD. It was a lot of head scratching trying to figure out where to put it. The battery is not easy to take out now. Takes an extra 10 minutes but only had to do it once since last year so not a big deal to me.
