I opened my hood earlier to try to see if the belt was hitting anything (there's a clicking noise :?: ) and in the process I noticed a small puddle of orange fluid right below my alternator, and it looks like it got on some other things. Anyone know what fluid it could be or where it might be coming from? I'm at work right now, I'll try to get a better look at things when I get home.

Here's a pic:

Aside from regular maintenance, I had both valve cover gaskets replaced a couple months ago and just did my brakes a couple weeks ago.

I was surprised, but mine had red coolant, could it be a coolant leak?

I figured it's probably coolant. I'll try to confirm later on today.

Just checked it again (still at work  )

One of my lower radiator hoses is dampened, I'm almost sure that's the culprit.

Glad I could be helpful...

If the hose is damp, I'd check first the hose fittings on each end to make sure they are tight. Then I'd check the hoses for cracks or holes. If that still doesn't find the culprit, you could be looking at a leaky radiator (that was my dilemma not too long ago). It wasn't too expensive to replace the radiator though.

my lower radiator hose leaks a bit too. they put these cheap hose clamps on that dont hold well. I dont know why they dont just use the kind that are tightened by a screw

You've probably fixed this already, but yeah, that's probably just a loose clamp. The usual place for the factory radiator to leak is at the top on the driver's side.
