my issue entirely is, the kj just doesn't have a nice spot to put one in/on. the trans tunnel is so wide I don't like the idea of sticking it on the side of it... the dash doesn't have a decent "pocket" to put one in (already used the wallet pocket for the brake controller)... dash top isn't deep/flat enough. you KK guys have it a bit better in that the new style stock radios are big and square, meaning you can fit a regular size DIN radio and a CB in the same space very cleanly.
Yeah, that's what I did. It was the only way I could come up with to mount one without taking up too much space. Have you looked at this one?
https://www.cobra.com/detail/75-wx-st-compact-remote-mount-cb-radio-with-soundtracker-and-noaa-weather.cfm I know a lot of people who run them in their Jeeps. Its just the mic with all the controls on it and a connector box, which you can hide in the center counsel, under the seat, anywhere you like.
