Wore out tailgate supports, what is a good replacement?

My tailgate (glass liftgate) arms are starting to wear out. Now that our nighttime lows are in the upper 30’s/lower 40’s, the arms won’t even lift the glass. Once the temperatures warm up into the 70’s, the arms will get the glass about ½-¾ of the way up. What replacement brands are you guys/girls using?

Haven't had to replace mine yet
but have used the ones from NAPA on some other folks KJs
they work like they should :wink:

Got mine from Advance or Oreilly's...hood ones too. Seem fine.

Ordered some off ebay and they are great. work better than the original ones ever did

I’ve heard that the StrongArm is one of the better brands; the only complaint is that they “pop-up” quickly when released and consequently harder to pull down. I have the StrongArm on my Jeep Cherokee and can vouch for their “strength”. I found the StrongArm for the Jeep KJ Liberty, part# 4365 on Amazon, but they are listed for 2002-2005 models. Are the 06 and 07 different? When I typed in my application (2007 KJ), the system said they would fit my application. I just want to make sure before I order. Here’s the link:

I bought strong arms for my hood and I have to grab the hood with both hands to close it. More than worth the $20 I think I spent on them.
