I don't know what idiot you talked to but moparpartsamerica lists the "Euro" TC for sale at http://www.moparpartsamerica.com/parts/ ... id=1432225 Of course it has a silly "disclaimer" that it might not fit a US 05 or 06 but lots of folks have installed it and the parts # (both of them) listed is the standard DCJ part number for a US 05 or 06 CRD 5-45RFE tranny. The "new" "R" part number simply indicates it a remanufactured TC which translates as a used OEM stock TC returned as a core was gutted and rebuilt with stiffer "guts" (e.g. the guts that DCJ should have used in the first place). Nothing wrong with a quality remanufactured TC; as far as I know all beefed up after market TCs are remans.

It is somehow on Export restricted order again, not sure how that happened.

With that said...

Quirk Chrysler Jeep in Braintree, MA apparently has 1.

Dealer net price is $374.00

Suncoast keeps 1 (one) CRD converter in stock since the day they started selling them. When they sold me mine in 2010, they made another one the next day.
Since they use the same parts in other converters, Suncoast can assemble a CRD torque converter when ever they get a call. Worst case is you may have to wait your turn for the production schedule.
If one of the Sales Guys ever give you a dumb answer, ask for Ron Wolverton.

Crap, I was hoping to bump up the price and sell it to Bob!

Looks like the part number has changed. 68037142AA is now part number RL037142AA. Has anybody tried ordering that part number?

See my earlier post. Yes they were trying with the current "R" number which shows in stock and available, or did, but when one calls they refuse US deliver address shipment.

Gotcha. Well, I guess that should make Suncoast's day. Big companies and their silliness...

I did drop a note to ID Parts to see if they could reimport a few Euros and wonder if our Canadian friends could do so without price going thru the roof.
