Awsome Jeep Fish Eye.

Also, I noticed yousay trac lock coming soon in your sig. Dont worry with the LS and get a Powertrax, they really are nice. Some noise, but its not that bad.

I really want the Powertrax, really bad. Thing is, I have gotten to know so many of the techs at the local dealer, that I am get the Trac Loc for $20. Seriously. Its better than nothing, and then I can get the boulder bars from RockLizard when he has some ready for the 05+. After that, I'll set my goals on the Powertrax.

I have seen those pics, and I agree, it looks awesome.

Also, the lift has me at about 18" to the pinch welds. I'll try to remember to get more measurements sometime.

Thanks for all the great replies.

Not to be an stupid, but "boulderbars is trade mark of ALL J Products. Rock Lizards are "Skink Sliders"

That thing looks far better than I remember it looking when I first saw it... SO, now the important issue... Meet Tokyo Joe and I at the gas station at the Morrison Park and ride at 0600 to start the trek to MOAB!! Then you can see how she stuffs those bad boys!

And off topic abit, Pixldesign is right, the slant eye lib is in Dubai UAE, there are 2 built that way in UAE.

Ted,
You are right sir, Boulder Bars are the All J trademark. I am prefering the Skink Sliders based on what I have seen for a finished product from TokyoJoe.

As for Moab, as much as I wanted to go this year, I just can't get the time off of work. But, I will be out wheeling this weekend, so even though its not Moab, its better than mall crawling!!

And I couldn't agree with you more, it looks much different/better than the last time the local guys from L.O.S.T. Rockies gathered up for a run!

Have fun at Moab, take lots of pictures for us!

And that settles it, I definitely will be getting 265s (still not sure if I want the 75 or 70 aspect, though, but I have to say those 32s look hot even if they do stuff).

Did they fit with the stock rims before you got the wheel spacers? (as in, was it just rubbing on the swaybar when turning sharply or all the time? I'm wondering if I can get the tires first and then get the spacer)

Also, do you know anything of wheel spacer laws? Article below seems to imply that they are not legal in some states, that's the first I'd heard of it.

I think it probably looks a lot higher because there are no rockrails and the front bumper is trimmed. But it is really tall!

I had the spacers put on before the tires were mounted up. I think they would have rubbed on the sway bar for sure without them. Some people are ok with that rubbing, or avoid full lock, but the turning radius of the jeeps are so tight, I hated to give that up.

As for the spacers, I don't know about the legality of them in all states. Colorado though has no annual state inspection requirements, only emissions on older vehicles.

Ahh, mass has inspections, but I don't know if they look for that (but I get the feeling if anything was different like a lift, they would look into it).

So just to clarify, that swapbar rub is only on really tight turns? I agree, I also don't want to give up that tight turning radius, I just want to make sure that when I get tires I will be able to drive before I get the spacers (since they seem to be out of stock in a lot of places and I want to shop around before I spend $250 on metal circles)

I have no rub on the swaybar with the spacers.

If you are leary about the spacers, you can find steel wheels online for realy cheap, with a backspacing that will give you the same effect as the spacers. Truth is, you can probably get a set of 5 steel wheels (Crager Soft 8's) for about $250 shipped.

I've thought about that, too, but I really like the look of the renegade wheels, and I'm not really wanting to stare at "CHECK TPM SYSTEM" on my evic every day for the rest of my jeeps life.

I originally meant how much rub would there be *without* the spacers, wondering if it's even possible to drive without them. I shoud probably just get the spacers at the same time as the tires.

I wonder if new GC / commander / wranglers have different backspacing AND a compatible TPM system...

I have been looking at my darn light TPM light for months now. I can't figure out why it stays on. I have checked, a million times, and adjusted, and so on and so forth. Still there. Needless to say, with airing up and down, I am having that system disabled. Atleast I am going to see if it can be disabled.

Let us know what you find out. I would love to disable that TPM monitor...

I've been to 2 different dealer in 2 different states both said it can't be done, hopefully you have a good dealership that can find out. Let us know what needs to be done to do this.

I'm having the same problem and am thinking bout just opening the dash and taking away the bulb for the indicator so I won't see it flash 10 times before it goes off.

The Jeep is definatey driveable with 265/75R16s and no spacers. You will get some rub on the sway bar though, this is why I grabbed the spacers a few weeks after putting my upgraded tires on. Without the spacers the tires only rub the sway bars at full lock and hopefuly you'll only be doing that at slow speed :o

Well, I made a phone call about the spacer issue. I could get no straight answers, as they are not patently illegal in Ohio. Most spacers regs were probably designed to ban the older spacers that fit OVER existing lug studs (they are just round spacers with holes in them) and do not take into consideration the newer spacers that incorporate additional studs, as well. The older ones limit lug nut to stud contact and can lead to the loss of a wheel. I would think that the old type would also create a lot mor leverage on the original stud than the newer spacers, as well.

Boy, that helped a lot, didn't it?
