Tire shine degrades the rubber faster. Also weakens the sidewalls if you actually wheel it and personally I think it looks bad.

That's why I have the tire warranty

Yeah but it should not cover owner abuse. We've denied warranty on tires with tire shine on them before with sidewall blowouts. Most tire shines have silicone in them which believe it or not actually "dries out" the tires faster causing them to dryrot and crack faster.Same goes for spraying silcone based sprays on rubber suspension bushings to stop them from making noise, only degrades them faster.

That's purposely causing tire damage which is the same a fraud in my opinion.

Well that's you're opinion. I have used tire shine on every single one of my vehicles and I have somehow managed to never have any catastrophic sidewall failure. I don't feel it's neglect to put shine on you're wheels. That's my opinion, I also don't feel like its fraud. I paid for a warranty so if anything happened to my tires no questions asked its replaced. Its weird though how The tire shop put tire shine on when I got them installed guess they must not think its fraud either.

Actually the part about the silcone drying out the rubber is fact.

The only good thing about that junk is it makes those low pro tires and run flats much easier to dismount since they soften the rubber so much.

Man I would have the flares torn off the first trip back around the hill to check the fences. Not much room in there at all.

It's really not bad at all. At full tuck it was minutely just rubbing in the rear. nothing an iso and bump stops can fix. Front just hits on the wheel well on the bumper side going to do a Clevis lift this weekend and maybe do some trimming.

I think the tires look great. Does the rub affect your turning radius at all?
My next set might be that size after I get my 4" lift in a couple of years.
As someone else asked, how much $ does regearing generally run?

I don't recall the exact amount but right around $2000 for gears, Detroit locker and e-locker including labor. I think 4WP charges $350 labor per axel.

Tom's right. There was "clearance"... but only for on road. Off road, well, be ready to tear everything up.

I'm still waiting for my warranty to expire. If I install gears and my axle fails, well, I can say goodbye to my previously warranted axle and I'll be kicking myself in the rear. Only 34000 miles to go anyway, so it won't be long. I'll have 4.56s this time next year.

I took it off road about 5 minutes after the tires were installed. I'm not going to say there weren't a few times I thought it wasn't going to rip something off but like I said I have some stuff to work on. As far as a difference in capability, I was following a stock renegage Kk and every thing he did in 4 low I did in 2wd... It is really crazy. I will take some front and rear pictures and post this evening

Looks great!

I just installed 255/70/18 on mine. Were you able to get the full size spare to fit back under the truck? I couldn't even deflated the tire some but no go.

I've got a friend fabbing a tire carrier which attaches to the stock tow hitch mounts under the truck. only problem is I will lose the use of the backup sensors.

I want to mount the kj tire carrier on the back door. Then it would be a bish to lift.

Looking good brother!

I'm blown away, at how well the tires fill the wheel wells, I would have bet money you had spacers on the wheels.
