I guess this hitch is rated for as much as the Mopar one. My KK says it can haul 5,000lbs and this Uhaul hitch says (Weight Carrying) 5,000lbs max gross trailer weight ; 500lbs max gross tongue weight ; (Weight Distrubution) 7,500lbs ; max gross trailer wt ; 750lbs max gross tongue wt.

Here's a look at how low the Uhaul hitch sits. They didn't even need to cut out that perforated part on the very bottom of the bumper like the Mopar hitch requires!

The MOPAR sits higher that's why you cut the bumper. BTW it's easy to cut. Has a cleaner look but that's looks not function. Your hitch is fine. You might have to buy a 7 way end and replace the MOPAR one, it's a little different.
The KK is rated to tow5000 with weight distributing so don't try the 7500 the hitch can:).

Here's the pigtail receptacle mount. Will I be able to jury rig up someway to mount the Mopar plug to one or more of the three holes?

Hopkins makes a pigtail connector that'll plug into the mopar harness. I'm pretty sure this is the one I looked at. You'll need to confirm it because their site doesn't list it specifically. I tested on myself at the local uhaul. It'll need to fit the KK liberty, not sure about the KJ, and the Dodge Nitro, it's the same harness. My part list actually said Dodge Nitro on the bag.
Here's a link for the bracket

And here's one for the pigtail

Again, you'll have to confirm yourself that the plug on the pigtail matches you harness.
Happy hunting :JEEPIN:

Okay, it's good that I have a hitch that's rated for more but I won't do anything crazy. Thanks for the warning.
