I am at about 90,000 miles and am starting to look for a good place to have my timing belt done. Don't think I am brave enough to try it myself un-supervised.

Anybody have a recommendation for a good wrench in Southeast Michigan?

I think you mean timing chain. I didn't know that chains needed to be changed at 90-100,000 miles.
But If needed I would take it to a dealer, or a shop that
warranties work.
Never mind I see you have a diesel I don't know about them.
Unless its my Kubota.:)

I am in SE MI and I don't know of anyone who will attempt the job let alone do it correctly! I did mine myself and I took my time, its not fun but its also not all that difficult. Its time consuming and I am a little paranoid when it comes to stuff like this so I kept checking over my self maybe sure I wasn't going to miss something and wast my engine. If I had a full day and all the stuff I needed I think I could do it in a day now.
I would say I would do it for you but honestly I don't like the idea of doing this type of job for someone and being responsible for damaging your CRD.
If you do it your self its a good idea to rent the tools needed from GDE, makes the job slightly less stressful. Depending on where you are I might be able to assist if you decide to try it your self.

You got about 10k to think about it, though the belt has aged. Check for a place who does VW and Mercedes and see if they are willing.

Not sure how busy he is, but Keith at Green Diesel Engineering (GDE) is in your area.

Drop him a PM.

Yes, Green Diesel Engineering is in Wixom, MI just NW of Detroit.

They would be 150% your preferred course of action living in SE Michigan.

As painemann said its a job that takes time but its not rocket science. It took me about 5 hours to get to the belt but I took my time and put everthing in labeled bags in the order that I took them off. That makes it so much easier to put it back together. Make sure you have all the parts purchased first and would also say to change the hoses when your doing the belt along with the water pump. I just bought all my parts from England and it only took 3 days to get here. You can do it just take your time.

Do you have a dry, warm garage to work in?
Depending on when I can get time off from my day job, I might be able to help.
I have all of the Miller tools and the fan clutch removal tool, but my garage is full with no room to work until next spring.
