KJ front tow hooks! Not too bad to put on either. VERY do-able with the bumper on, there's no reason to take it off.

Just so you know, the M bolt drops the capacity of the front tow hooks dramatically. They can pull through the uniframe and out the tiny hole in the plastic bumper causing very expensive damage and you'll still be stuck but without anywhere to hook to. This happened to me and several others. I found this hardware kit
viewtopic.php?f=104&t=69850
This is the stud plate part number 52059352AB
This is the one that comes from the factory when they install the tow hooks and bumper removal is required.
I just wanted to let you know so you were informed. Some people don't have a problem but personally, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't risk it. :2cents:

I've been letting her sit in the driveway for the past few days. Trying to conserve gas because of the shortage, and frankly she doesn't get the best gas mileage lol.

The best way to save gas is by not driving. Some people seem to forget that.

Tinted the front turn signals. They're still plenty bright enough during the day.

You should see all the sightsee-ers down by the water. I'm helping my uncle clear the garage and cellar(luckily the house was good as it is built up), and people just joyride down the streets. People are starting to put up signs that say "Save gas, go home" because of how bad it is.

I'm actually contemplating taking my Pop's 2011 Civic to school for a few days just because it gets 40mpg on the highway and the Jeep is lucky to get 17mpg lol. Idk if it will come to that though...

Oh on a side note, I get to make a trip to the dealer soon. Cruise control acts up where I can't turn it off or sometimes on, tow/haul button got stuck, and now today I pulled out of the driveway after a cold start and the tranny disengaged around 2200rpm, a normal shift point for being light on the gas, revved to about 3k and then slammed into 2nd.

I'm sure you'd rather ride in style and be in the Jeep. There's a time and a place for a Honda. How did it act after the tranny warmed up? I'm pretty certain there are a few adjustments to the ECU like the rev limiter under cold acceleration which would cause different RPM shifts that may seem abnormal.

Yeah I hate the Honda lmao. I don't like driving cars either, especially that one... And after it warmed up it was perfect. I couldn't recreate it. It never did that to me last year on days colder than yesterday so I don't know if it's the cpu. Haven't driven it yet today to see if it does it again.

Last weekend I pulled a trailer and two ATVs to Uwharrie National Forest (NC). It should have been about a 4 hour drive (and nearly 1,000 feet of elevation from the beach) but the RV trailer I was following had a tire blowout and we missed a turn, took about 5 hours, got 12 mpg.
Got there just after sunset.
Image
It was a dusty drive in.
Image
I forget my real camera and my cell phone roaming killed the battery so I didn't get any trail riding pics.
Image
I tried to take the KK on the easiest trail but failed miserably and turned around quickly. I'll get the JBA lift in the spring before going back.
Lots of "real" Jeeps having fun.

And I got 14 mpg on the way home.

PML diff cover. Holds a total of 2.5 quarts of Mobil1 75w90 now.
Knocked almost 20* off running temps...160* down to 143*

I don't follow. You replaced your diff fluid, and now your jeep runs cooler? What's cooler?

Replaced his diff cover. Larger and better heat dissipation = cooler oil temps

Is there a sensor for the rear diff fluid temp?

There is a boss on the cover that you can drill and tap for a 1/8npt temp sensor if you want it.
I just did a before and after with an IR temp gun after the same 12 mile highway commute.

I'm sure you'll love it. It's more fun to drive when you can actually hear the exhaust.
