The blowby that from my Elephant Hose makes its way up through the engine bay, immediately to the left of the fuel head. It constantly "smokes out" the wire bundles in that area.

Can this degrade wire insulation or mess up soldering in any way?

Just curious.

MAP sensor: clean.
As soon as the CRD reached the limit of the warranty, CEL went on.

I would think that it is probably not good for the wires to have the oil mist/blowby gases, which can have some kind of acids, etc. in them. Just my :2cents: though.

X2. As far as I know best to route EHM hose down to or into frame rail below engine.

Just to clarify, I have the hose routed downward, right of the engine, all the way down to the rail. I have a rigged plastic bottle, that's vented, with a sponge in the bottom to catch oil. Of course the bottle and sponge can be swapped out at intervals. Maybe I just need to play with changing the final position of the hose end. Lengthen and move.

Saving money for Provent.

Until then, call me Johnny Elephant-Hose.

I run mine along the frame rail to where the rear upper suspension arm connects.

Yep, I ran mine back near the exhaust pipe so it looks like it's coming out of the tailpipe and no mess in the engine bay.
