My jeep has water stains on the headliner and I have no idea how they got there but what's the best way to remove them? Or clean them enough to not be visible

I've been able to get mine out using a washcloth, water, and Dr. Bronner's Castille soap. The big question, though, is how the water stains got there. A few common options:
1) Rear hatch window seal leaking
2) Rear hatch door weatherstripping leaking
3) Roof rack bolt holes leaking
There are TSB's on all 3 in the KK tech section. I've personally fixed #1 and #2 on my KK.
The center brake light may be another potential place to check.
Good luck!

They're by the sunroof(pretty self explanatory)and around the top of both the the A-Pillars. Then there's some in random spots on the roof which confuses me how they got there since there's no open, or areas that could be open, around it.

Ha! I don't have a sunroof, so I didn't think of that. Maybe the drain channels around the sunroof are plugged, so water overflows under your headliner?

I'm also an optimist. There is nothing to fix if the P.O. just forgot to close the sunroof during a heavy rainstorm! That would explain the old water stains that don't get bigger.

Your probably right with that. I got it from a dealership with a bad reputation with weather and have had other problems but they're fixed now...all but the one that happened tonight :banghead: but yeah I guess I'll just have to start digging for the source
