Looking at that pic again I don't think it's settled much if any from there. Tires are 235/70's. had I known I was getting the lift this soon I would have definitely gotten 245/75's. these almost look small now haha. Still completely amazed at the ride quality off road.

After putting it thru some paces I looked at the JBA A-arms again, and at least the front arm was making contact with the bottom of the metal in the mounting pocket so I went ahead and ground those down as noted in JBA's installation directions. To whoever puts those arms on, definitely do this mod before putting them back in. It's a lot easier that way but I didn't know if I'd need it or not. You will, and you'll thank yourself for doing it beforehand.

Looks awesome, Turbo! The blacked out attitude with the scar on the door looks bad a**. The tires still look fine, IMO. They'll be ok until they wear out and you can replace them with some 245/75 Duratracs.

I'll be joining you with 4" of lift on Thursday. :frankie: Super excited. Glad to hear that you think it rides well after the lift. Still got to counter that little inner voice that worries about screwing up my Jeep. I'm sure after it's done I won't want to go back.

How about some pictures? Did you go OME?

Yeah OME HD, 3 nuts per clevis, 1/4" top plate on the front, MD and 2 extra spring isolators on the rear. This pic is only a few days after finishing/alignment, so it may have settled slightly from this pic.

It definitely got the front in the air, which is what I was going for. It sits pretty level now and the crossmember is outta the dirt so that's always good. :jester:

Looks really good. Seeing it is making me excited (and impatient) about my JBA lift. I can't wait for it to arrive now. Hurry up Fed Ex  . The lifted club continues to grow.

Looks good :JEEPIN: It's amazing the difference this suspension setup provides. One thing I'd like to add to mine though, longer swaybar link arms.

If the JBA lift is everything they claim it is, and it probably is, yours is going to ride better than our OME lifts. Yours is designed using offroad racing components, probably why it costs so much. :2cents:

Thanks guys, really stoked to have this on here now!

Ditto, front or back and what's the reasoning? More articulation? Or bad sway bar angle post lift?

Front and back. If you think about it, the center of the sway bar is attached to the axel and the ends are attached to the chassis. When you lower the jack, the sway bar gets pulled further adding more tension to it. I'd like to take some of the additional tension out of the equation.

Well for the front you can get the quick disco', but Im told it places too much stress on the CVs and I've heard alot of people run with out the rear sway bar.

I don't want to remove them, I just want longer ones to bring the sway bar back to its original position, before I lifted it. If you want to run without them, you'll need limiting straps. It's also not a good idea to remove the material from the upper control arm pockets for the same reason. :D

Finally installed some screen material behind the grill. Way too many bugs have been hitting the radiator. Please excuse her dirtiness.. She needs a bath

Thanks! That's exactly what it is. Bought two screens for about $2 ea. and a 40 pack of small zip ties. Took about two hours total to do it.

That's nice. Did you have to pull the grille to install it? I want to do something similar but I'm not ready to pull my winch off just yet.

Yes, pulling the grill is super easy though. 8 plastic anchors, two clip tabs above the headlights and then two tabs on the outer sides of the headlights. Also three molded hooks at the bottom of the grill, so it pivots from the top, out, kind of like a hinge at the bumper. I just searched googled for how to pull the grill, but yeah you might have to take your winch off to have enough room to pull it free.

Yea, that's what I figured. I've bad the grille off a couple times, it's not a big deal but that winch isn't coming off until after the last snowflake is melted :seuss:

Were you able to zip tie the mesh material behind the grille in large sheets, or did you have to cut the 7 individual slots out of the mesh and zip tie them on individually?

The screens come in strips 6x36 inches. I cut my strips approx 4 inches wide, didn't take actual measurements, just layed over the gap and marked my cut line. Only did five since the two slots on either end are just decorative. Zip tied the screens in six spots each to the back of the black portion of the grill. I did remove the back portion of the grill from the front, but probably won't need to do that. Initially I looked at a couple different ways of putting it in and had toyed with the idea of putting the screen sandwiched between the two pieces. But decided I liked it best behind the whole thing.

I did mine with one big piece. There are an infinite amount of materials you can use for this. In my opinion it looks best when you paint the material black before you install it. You will soon notice how many bugs really get caught in there. Makes me laugh every time knowing such a cheap mod is so functional. This stuff I used is the same material as a screen door... more flexible than some of the other materials I've seen people use. Cheap and smart.

I would have liked to have painted mine beforehand, but was trying to get it done quick and cheap. How did you do the screen material on yours? Down the road if I have to redo mine, i might like it with a more flexible material.
