Everyone who has tried aftermarket OBDII readers have had them freeze. I use torque and anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, it will freeze. Same reports from scangauge users.

:-)r According to Linear Logic their Scangauge is also fully compatible with our CRD with the following exception but we all know otherwise.

"Jeep Liberty with the diesel engine does not report fuel use or trip functions and some of the gauges. Unless the recall ECU software update has been completed."

I did point out to them a few years ago that this was not the case and they just tried to blame the freezing on my vehicle.

We have an '05. TORQUE PRO has NOT shut down our KJ CRD, or "frozen", even after hours of running. I am running it on an Android X.

HOWEVER, on my 2001 7.3 Excursion, it shuts the motor off when the phone rings and you answer it! (There have been some updates. Maybe they fixed that, not sure.)

Hey Doc, what BT OBDII reader are you using?

One thing to note is that there are differences in the computer configurations between the '05 and '06 which may be a factor in what DOC is seeing.

My own setup, on an '06, freezes after random amounts of time ranging from a few minutes to 10's of minutes. It has never, however, crashed the TCM on me.
