Just got the go ahead to turn a wrecked KK rental into a "rock bouncer" as advertisement for my dealership and for me to have a ton of fun beating the crap out of it. Lucky for me a rental was wrecked and after 3 years of begging I was told "there it is, have fun"! Already have the tires and diffs, quickly obtaining the rest. Going to a 125" wheelbase and a Rubicon t-case from a JK. Someone tutor me on adding images here.

Got the image thing figured out. Added photos to my first post. I have also included here pics of the axle donor and we are also using the Warn 8274 off of the donor.

We are going to get a local body shop to pull the rocker panel so the door will shut correctly.....the Liberty, not the Ford.... :jester:

Will this RockHopper be a street & trail or trail only ride? Big difference in how its built..

The plan is to keep it street "legal". 8) Biggest thing in our area is bumper height and tire coverage(mud flaps). I am cutting high into the body so bumper height should be a non issue. I will make a set of mudflaps that can be easily removed and that should satisfy The Man. We don't plan on crossing the country in this thing but some adventures make highway travel mandatory. The dash will be lit up like a christmas tree because my plan for the ABS/ESP is to take it off line. No speedo, no problem, we have GPS! All the airbags have been deployed so we don't have to worry about that on the trail.

We do indeed plan to use it hard. The first place I want to take it is an SRRS event (Southern Rock Racing Series). We also, however, plan to keep it looking good, body work and paint whenever necessary. The engineering involved to add wheel speed sensors to our Ford Danas is more then we care to embark on. I have done Dana 60 axle swaps in the rear of some SRT Challengers and designed and engineered rear wheel speed sensors to shift the NAG trannies. That involved technical drawings and custom axleshafts and hybrid tone wheels......we don't need no stinking ABS/ESP!

You can have D60's and still have ABS and ESP functions, just can't use the axles your using and will not require any mods or custom parts to be made.

Well.....do tell! This build will not need it but may use it for the next one. The diffs we have chosen are for strength, gonna beat it! Full throttle assaults are a requirement....crawling is for babies... The build also includes the throttle delay eliminator and a 50 shot of n2o. Ordering a set of Solid Axle heavy duty knuckles today, post more pics soon.....

Quite the contrary, we are making a low investment. The Jeep was an insurance total loss and will have a salvage title. We bought it back at salvage price. All the parts we install will be either sponsorship (we have a lot of vendors) or bartered. I was given free range on the build but I have to obtain all the parts. Don't get me wrong, this thing will work very well and remain looking nice also. We don't destroy stuff we just make sure it doesn't have any bugs or weak links. We are a professional dealership with a very capable staff. We have built some awesome trail rigs and some super fast (8's in the 1/4) race cars. This thing is gonna be sweet; stay tuned! :JEEPIN:
