No model name, thats strange
Should of had either FL, FLH Electra Glide, Super Glide, or the XL
The XLs had the Ironhead in them , rest had the shovel , but would just list the CC's not the engine type
Also since "shovelhead " is a slang term for the shape of the heads,
it's funny that was used on a title

Moose grew up with classic cars not bikes but my dad had one for awhile but now all we have is classic cars. My goal this summer is to start a hot rod project. Either a Volksrod or a Chevy pick up

I grew up when 55 Chevs could be bought for 500 and they were still running good
62 Chevs were a dime a dozen
Had several including 32 Ford, chopped, channeled with big block .55s-57s etc etc
Ones they build now a days were junk parts cars back then didn't think they were good enough to save :ROTFL:

I hear that haha I wouldn't mind having a few of those cars that you had now.

My first car was a 69 dart 3 on the tree with a slant six. Dog. But loved that car. I've always been a huge Mopar man, grandpa work for Chrysler for close to 35 years. He "built" the trans in my jeep so kinda cool haha

Thats pretty cool, did he work at a jeep plant or just a plant that builds the transmission's and then they shipped them to the toledo and Detroit assembly plants?

Before ya say that, ya I know too late but at any rate do yourself a favor and google Isle of the Man TT. Most wicked bike race you'll EVER see and no crotch rockets do have their place, their just not your style is all.
Also don't mess with Mudd, he knows Harleys better than any one

Get yourself a DR650 made by Suzuki. Very economical and will take you anywhere! Don't ask me how I know. :ROTFL:

Excellent to see the dead rise again while I have stepped out! :-)r

So, I have an actual Jeep question. So I thought i could change the rear seal on my front drive shaft. I was wrong. It came out and i got the cap off and even bought a snap ring remover and removed the snap ring. surprisingly to me that was the easy part. If seems that the outside gear has some how welded itself to the spline. Not even pb blaster would get in between them. Even tried heating up the outer part with a torch, induction heater, grill...beat it with any and all hammers and sledges/mauls available. So, basically my KJ is 2wd until further notice :P
It has seem to come down to where to buy the new drive shaft >.< Of course there are plenty of oem places out there but i got to price checking and tom woods makes it seem that their drive shafts are actualy cheaper than oem replacements...is this true? am i missing something? Is there some different trick to getting the gears off the spline?

Put it in a vise where you can work on it or take it to a local shop
no use to buy a new driveshaft for 3-4-500 bucks

Just hate to see people waste money when they don't have to
There are things that are way more fun to waste money on than a driveshaft :ROTFL:

Old CJ would be fun, right now.....I can't decide what I want to do.

Build the current Jeep
Comanche-trail rig
Volksrod-Hot rod
or a
Porsche 944 cruiser....
